Privacy policy and application terms for OSB Inventory Kernel, the private shop-management tool of the Etsy shop OriginalSiberianBlue.
1. About this application
OSB Inventory Kernel is a private, personal-use software tool operated solely by Adrian Taffinder, owner of the Etsy shop OriginalSiberianBlue. Its only purpose is to keep this shop's own listing prices and stock quantities in sync with our other sales channels, and to keep order tracking information current on our own orders. It is not a commercial product, is not multi-tenant, and is never offered to, or usable by, any other person or seller.
2. Data the application accesses
The application accesses data belonging exclusively to the OriginalSiberianBlue shop, via Etsy's Open API v3: shop listing details (titles, prices, quantities, variations); shop inventory levels; and shop order/receipt records, solely to add or update carrier tracking information on our own orders. It does not access, request, or store any data belonging to any other Etsy seller or any Etsy member other than the shop owner. It does not collect personal data from website visitors, and this page sets no tracking cookies of its own.
3. Buyer personal data
Where shop order records returned by the Etsy API contain buyer information (such as a delivery name and address), that information is used for one purpose only: fulfilling and tracking that buyer's own order. It is never used for marketing, never sold, rented, or shared with any third party, and is not retained by the application beyond what is needed to fulfil the order. Etsy buyers' rights under Etsy's own Privacy Policy are unaffected.
4. Storage and security
All data handled by the application is processed and stored locally on the shop owner's own equipment. OAuth 2.0 is used for all private-data access; access tokens are stored locally and encrypted; no Etsy member credentials (usernames or passwords) are ever collected or stored. No data is transmitted to any third party.
5. Data retention and deletion
Synced operational data (prices, stock levels, tracking references) is retained only as long as needed for the sync function. Any cached data derived from the Etsy API is deleted when no longer required, and in any event within 30 days of ceasing to be needed. Upon any request from Etsy, or upon termination of API access, all data obtained through the Etsy API will be permanently deleted without undue delay.
6. Third parties
The application does not sell, share, license, or disclose any data obtained through the Etsy API to any third party. It does not perform scraping, does not route transactions off the Etsy platform, and does not operate any off-platform checkout.
7. Your rights and contact
Questions, concerns, or requests relating to this policy or any data handled by the application can be sent to originalsiberianblue@gmail.com, which is monitored daily. If you are an Etsy buyer, your data relationship with Etsy itself is governed by Etsy's Privacy Policy at etsy.com/legal/privacy.
8. Application terms and warranty disclaimer
The application is used solely by its developer. To the extent application terms apply: DISCLAIMER: THIS APPLICATION IS SOLELY PROVIDED BY ADRIAN TAFFINDER (THE "APPLICATION DEVELOPER"). THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ETSY, INC. HAS NO LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE APPLICATION.
9. Etsy trademark notice
The term 'Etsy' is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This Application uses Etsy's API, but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy.
10. Changes to this policy
Any changes to this policy will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
Effective date: 12 June 2026. Operator: Adrian Taffinder, Original Siberian Blue (Etsy shop: OriginalSiberianBlue). Contact: originalsiberianblue@gmail.com.
