They come in a delicately crafted hardwood box which is adorned with a carving of the Buddha, and numerous sacred symbols which energise and protect the stone. 



The lotus flower is one of the most ancient and deepest symbols of our planet. The lotus flower grows in muddy water and rises above the surface to bloom with remarkable beauty. ... Untouched by the impurity, lotus symbolizes the purity of heart and mind. The lotus flower represents long life, health, honor and good luck.



The endless knot. In Buddhism the knot serves as a symbol of the Buddha's endless wisdom and compassion in addition to eternal harmony. When applied to the Buddha's teachings it represents the endless cycle of rebirth.



It also has meaning of ‘The lover's knot’ or love knot has a long history of being a symbol of love. It represents the unbreakable bond and eternal connection between two lovers. The association of knots with love has appeared in many different cultures since ancient times



Then we have the Om symbol, which is mirrored of the opposite petal at the back of the lotus. The Om symbol is a combination of curves, a crescent and a dot. The meaning of the Om symbol, while purely looking at its visual form, comes from the states of consciousness that Aum represents. The letter 'A' represents the waking state, 'U' represents the dream state and 'M' is the unconscious state, or state of deep sleep.  

In the symbol, the waking state is represented by the bottom curve, the dream state is the middle curve and the state of deep sleep is represented with the upper curve. The crescent shape above the curves denotes Maya, or Illusion, which is the obstacle that sits in the way of reaching the highest state of bliss. The dot at the top of the symbol represents the absolute state, which is the fourth state of consciousness and is absolute peace and bliss. This fourth state is believed to be the state in which someone could truly connect with the Divine.



Then we have the Chinese calligraphy symbol for Buddha.



Next we have Buddhas wheel, or ‘The Dharma Wheel’ Dharmachakra, or Wheel of Dharma, is one of the many sacred teachings of Buddhism and other Indian religions, such as Hinduism and Jainism. It is one of the most important and sacred symbols in the Buddhist faith as it represents Buddha's teachings. It has 8 spokes like the 8 lotus petals, representing the 8 disciplines of Buddhism and also In the Indo-Tibetan Buddhist tradition for example, the 8 spoked wheel represents the noble eightfold path, and the hub, rim and spokes are also said to represent the three trainings (sila, prajña and samadhi).



Lastly we have the swastika,having 4 limbs. They can be interpreted as the four Vedas (Rig, Yajur, Sama, Atharva), the core Hindu scriptures. They can be thought of as the four goals of life: Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha (right action, worldly prosperity, worldly enjoyment, and spiritual liberation). The limbs are also interpreted as representing the four seasons, the four directions, and the four yugas, or epochs (Satya, Treta, Dvapara, Kali).



The wooden box is then oiled and blessed under ceremony, with sesame seed oil, infused with various essential oils related to Buddha. Sandalwood, Jasmin, lotus flower, orange and lavender.
